Emma Grant

Emma Grant has been practicing yoga since 1996 and teaching since 2001. She has trained and studied with Swami Satchidananda of Integral Yoga in the U.S., Pattahbi Jois of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Desikachar, son of Krishnamacharya in India. She has maintained her practice of Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda throughout her pregnancies and into motherhood. She has trained in pregnancy & postnatal yoga, and has studied Ayurveda at Naturecare (Sydney), as well as with Ayurvedic Doctors in India. Emma is joined by like minded teachers who share her vision to help women connect with their inner wisdom & peace.

Natasha Hain

Natasha is an accredited yoga teacher, in the Satyananda yoga tradition. She has been practicing yoga for 8 years, and started teaching in 2004. Natasha teaches with a wholistic approach, always creating a safe and nurturing space. Her passion for supporting people on the journey of pregnancy, birth and parenting evolved when she became a mother 4 years ago.
Natasha loves bringing women together in the Red Tent, facilitating pre natal yoga and and womens circle.
She also has experience in intuitive/deep tissue/relaxation massage, including pre/post natal.

Joan Donoghoe

Joan has been practising yoga for over 25 years, and is now an establised practitioner of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Her teaching style is gentle and insightful while helping students create strength and stamina.

Karen Wightman

Karen began her Yoga practice in Thailand in 1995 after meeting her first Yoga teacher. She spent 5 years of initial practice very much in isolation under the guidance of her teacher and then began to study with several local teachers, based on Koh Samui. She moved to Bangkok and here continued her studies at the Iyengar Yoga Studio where she also began to assist with the newly formed kids Yoga Program.

She left Thailand after 12 years to follow her passions and train as a Yoga teacher with Nicky Knoff in Cairns and with Kylie Peters of Simply Kids in Sydney. Shortly afterwards she settled in the Byron shire. Karen began teaching adults locally and children in the local Primary and High schools. As an experienced Artist and Art teacher, Karen has been combining her talents to recently create the Yoga and Art holiday program at the Red Tent Yoga. Whilst here in the Shire she met Rachel Zinman who opened the door in her life and heart to the practice of Bhakti and Kirtan. She began studying classical Indian music and learning Harmonium April last year and more recently has began her journey and aspirations to lead Kirtans.

Sienna

Sienna Moon is trained in bellydance, various forms of yoga, tantra, contempory dance, ceremony, meditation and the healing arts. Sienna lives in Byron shire with her beloved partner and 2 beautiful daughters, incorporating all aspect of life as an opportunity to live in the Divine, from mundane tasks to ecstatic experiences.
Through templedance women access the ability to reside always in their divine, feminine beauty.

About Roxanna Minnona
Roxy has been teaching various styles of yoga for over 12 years, including as part of the Dancing the Divine courses operating Internationally since 2002.

  • Discovered Satyananda yoga at 15, accessing this powerful ancient system for healing.
  • Trained in the Bikram Yoga style at 18 while attending Nature Care College for Anatomy and Physiology, various Bodywork modalities, Energetic Healing and Polarity Therapy.
  • In 2003 on a trip to India she discovered Swami Yogananda Saraswati, whom she trained with for 2 years, assisting him to set up the Shri Hari Yogashram in South Goa, Indai.
  • The most influential impact on the work however, Tantric Master Shantam Nityama whom she met in 2006 and has been visiting and working with ever since.
Miranda Burne

Miranda teaches a rich blend of yoga, that incorporates techniques from various lineages including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Satyananda and Pilates. With a focus on building core strength and keeping your practice safe, her classes will give you a well rounded workout in terms of stretching, strengthening and cardiovascular exercise. Miranda works a lot with connecting movement with breath, which is very calming for the nervous system, and by the end of her class, you can walk away feeling deeply relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated.
